Crew chief hired for Tayler Malsam

February 5 2009

Randy Moss Motorsports on Wednesday announced that Eric Phillips and Doug Wolcott will assume duties as crew chiefs for the team's two full-time Toyotas in the 2009 Camping World Truck Series season.

Impact: Doug Wolcott will serve as crew chief for rookie Tayler Malsam and the No. 81. Eric Phillips will be the crew chief for Mike Skinner. Wolcott was formerly a crew chief at Bill Davis Racing, where he guided driver Scott Speed to a win at Dover in May 2008 and helped that truck to 11th place in the owners' standings with four different rookie drivers. Wolcott and Malsam first teamed together in the 2008 Truck Series season finale at Homestead and earned a 21st-place finish.
